Design is the key to success
In times of technological stalemate, major pricing battles and stagnating markets, design becomes more and more important as a factor in competition. Indeed, it is often the decisive strategic force in successful marketing. Because it helps to sell products. For Phoenix Design, it means giving a product more than the pure benefit combined with durability and ecological qualities - it must also have magic. Magic that has the power to transform even mass-produced items into products with true character.
Award-winning design
Since being founded in 1987 by Andreas Haug and Tom Schönherr, the Phoenix Design design studio has developed into a company of national and international renown.
Over the years, Phoenix Design has been able to build up a list of regular clients which includes renowned companies such as Hansgrohe, Axor, Pharo, Kaldewei, Laufen, Loewe, Duravit, Viessmann, Gira, Lamy, Sharp, Siemens, LG etc.
The projects which Phoenix has undertaken on behalf of these clients have led to it being awarded the most important design prizes such as the Lucky Strike Designer Award, which has the most prize money of any European design award. In the overall ranking: Design Phoenix Design has already won first prize four times.
Phoenix now employs 27 staff, designers, graphic designers, trained model-makers and CAID specialists and is able to model Class-A surfaces in-house and to carry out CNC milling work just-in-time. Since 2006, Phoenix Design has also been providing user interface design as an integrative service. The increasing functional diversity of many modern products means their complex operating procedures have to be designed so as to be appealing, sensory and intuitive. The close dovetailing of three-dimensional design and display-guided input and output media gives the products the highest possible functional quality.
The Japanese branch, which was founded in 1989, deals with orders from Asian customers and accompanies the work on site until it goes into series production.
The very close collaboration with the companies, most of which are proprietor managed, has led to a bond of trust being established with most customers. Phoenix Design is frequently integrated directly into the company strategy and advises the customers on issues of corporate design, corporate identity, communication, exhibition stands and shop systems.
