Ahlen, April 2016. – This spring, KALDEWEI will be presenting its new products to an international trade audience at the Salone del Mobile in Milan. The focus will be on the new segment of washbasins made of superior KALDEWEI steel enamel, the bathroom collections created in conjunction with designers Arik Levy and Anke Salomon, and product solutions for floor-level showering.
Made of KALDEWEI steel enamel, washbasins are a logical extension of the company’s product portfolio. Bathrooms – from shower surface to bathtub to washbasin – can now be fitted out in a single material, with a harmonious design vocabulary and in coordinated colours. In 2016, KALDEWEI is already following up last year’s successful market launch with an expansion of its new washbasin segment. KALDEWEI has also called on two high-calibre designers to design these new products and more: the multi award-winning star designer Arik Levy has created his first bathroom collection for KALDEWEI. The free-standing Meisterstück Emerso bathtub and the free-standing washbasin of the same name skilfully combine austere geometry with playful shapes. Designer Anke Salomon developed the Silenio and Incava bathtubs and washbasin lines which are characterised by organic, sensual lines. Another product on show is the floor-level Scona shower surface which, thanks to a new enamelled waste cover, is now available in a fully enamelled version. The premium manufacturer is rounding off its trade fair presentation in Milan with a world first – the KALDEWEI Skin Touch.
Multi award-winning trade fair stand
KALDEWEI invites trade fair visitors to experience the various products in an entirely new way. The design of the stand features extraordinary architecture which dispenses entirely with right angles. Inspired by the radiance of light, individual rays penetrate the brand space, forming three-dimensional facets within which the various theme and experience worlds are presented. This allows the iconic staging of person and product to be experienced by guests with all of their senses. Thanks to its unique concept the KALDEWEI stand has already received five awards, including prestigious accolades such as the “Iconic Award – Best of Best” from the German Design Council and the “FAMAB AWARD 2015”.
The entire KALDEWEI brand image has moreover been completely revamped: the central element – a calligraphic brush stroke – is based on the Japanese culture of reduction. The brush stroke stands for the moment of inspiration and creativity that underpins the architectural, spatial and product design and perfectly exemplifies the corporate philosophy of KALDEWEI as a global partner for high-end bathroom solutions made of superior steel enamel. The over 130 design awards that the premium manufacturer has received – 60 in the last five years alone – are the convincing proof that KALDEWEI consistently lives up to this brand promise.

The ensemble of Meisterstück Emerso bathtub and Meisterstück Emerso washbasin was created in conjunction with star designer Arik Levy. The free-standing, fully enamelled bathtub features a slightly rising rim which, like a twirled silk ribbon, creates the optical illusion of infinity. The coordinated washbasin is the perfect complement to the bathtub.
